Storyteller project
Blueprint Storyteller is an agile requirements software from Blueprint Software Systems that helps teams align business strategy with IT execution by capturing stakeholder needs, automating user story and acceptance criteria generation, and providing bi-directional integration with Agile tools like JIRA.
It uses visual modeling to define user journeys and complex processes, fostering clear communication and reducing rework by keeping requirements synchronized across the entire development lifecycle.

The challenge
In many occasions, UX decisions were made without receiving input or suggestions from the UX team.
There was a discrepancy between the components used on the site due to the lack of an updated UX/UI design system.
Additionally, it was necessary to improve the relationship and communication between product, development, and UX teams to ensure the creation of the best experiences for users.
This was especially important for the Storyteller project I would be working on, where alignment across teams was critical to deliver a cohesive and intuitive experience.
The process
UX advocacy
Within the UX team, we worked collaboratively to identify and define core design principles, then communicated them across all project teams. This effort went beyond simply sharing guidelines, it helped teams understand the “why” behind UX decisions, fostering empathy for users and promoting a truly user-centered mindset.
As a result, cross-functional teams were better aligned, able to make informed design decisions, and more confident in applying UX best practices throughout their projects. This initiative strengthened collaboration, improved consistency across products, and elevated the overall quality of the user experience.
Enhance UX involvement in the development team
Taking a proactive approach, I joined the development team’s stand-up meetings to actively provide UX feedback, stay fully aligned with the implementation of our designs, and promptly address questions ensuring a seamless collaboration between design and development
Design system
Proactively led the enhancement and creation of components within the design system, partnering closely with a React developer to ensure every design specification and interaction behavior was accurately implemented, resulting in a more consistent and scalable user experience
The result
I led the enhancement and refinement of the Storyteller feature, addressing key UX challenges and optimizing the overall user experience.
By implementing a more cohesive design system, improving cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring alignment between product, development, and UX teams, we were able to resolve inconsistencies and streamline workflows.
As a result of these improvements, the Storyteller feature was successfully launched, delivering an intuitive and engaging experience for users.
